Characteristics of the Limited Edition

What is a Limited Edition print and how does it differ from an Open Edition?

A Limited Edition is a series of prints made in a precise number, with a very high-quality printing process chosen by the artist or photographer.

Usually, the limited edition print is signed by the photographer and guaranteed by a certificate of authenticity.

Thanks to these characteristics of rarity and quality of the details, the limited edition is loved by collectors.

An open edition, on the other hand, has no limits on the number of prints made, the production process, even if of excellent quality, is often delegated to third parties and the main purpose is not to be collectible but to decorate the walls of houses and offices.

I started my first limited editions in 2008. Once all the prints of an edition have run out, a new limited edition will never start. These are the characteristics of my Limited Edition Prints.
